? Job Opening at NCBS – Facility Assistant (EM Facility)
The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bengaluru is inviting applications for the position of Facility Assistant – Electron Microscopy (EM) Facility.
? Key Responsibilities:
- Biological sample preparation for electron microscopy, including fixation, processing, embedding, sectioning and staining.
- Acquisition, processing, analysis and documentation of high-quality electron microscopy images.
- Routine maintenance of major and peripheral instruments in the facility.
- Training students, scientists and facility users in equipment operation and best practices.
- Develop and modernize the facility both at technical and management levels.
- Providing technical services and supporting annual training workshops and industry collaborations.
? Essential Qualification: M.Sc.
/ M.Tech / Master's degree in any Biological Sciences discipline from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks .
⭐ Desirable Experience:
2 years of relevant experience in Life Science specimen preparation, including tissue sectioning, embedding and staining .
? Pay: As per Government norms, based on experience and qualification.
