Job Purpose To execute the hands-on bench work of formulation trials, raw material testing, finished products and documentation under the direction of the R&D; Manager. This is an execution-focused role — the R&D; Manager plans and approves the trial roadmap; this role runs the trials, records data of RM, FG, Bench Mark, and flags issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Batch Trials: Execute formulation trials as assigned by the R&D; Manager, From laboratory-scale batches to commercial-scale trials. Follow approved protocols and accurately record all trial parameters and observations.
- Raw Material Screening: Evaluate incoming raw material samples for compatibility, performance, and suitability in formulation trials. Document findings and report results to the R&D; Manager.
- Sample Preparation: Prepare laboratory-scale samples for internal evaluation, stability studies, and Quality Control (QC) testing.
- Trial Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all formulation trials, including trial logs, batch records, raw data sheets, and observations. Ensure proper documentation of:
- R&D; raw material inventory
- Formulation development records
- Stability study samples and records
- Technology transfer documents




- Commercial batch stability data
- Requisition Coordination: Raise requisitions for raw materials and laboratory consumables with the Purchase Manager. Monitor inventory requirements to ensure uninterrupted execution of planned trials.
- Laboratory Housekeeping & Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory. Perform routine equipment checks and promptly report calibration or maintenance requirements to the R&D; Manager.
- Product Evaluation Studies: Plan and conduct comparative evaluation studies of developed formulations against benchmark (BM) products. Record and summarize performance data, observations for further development.

Decision-Making Authority

- None at approval level — this role executes and reports; all formulation and vendor decisions rest with the R&D; Manager.
- Can flag a raw material or trial result as unfit for use, pending R&D; Manager review.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Number of trials completed on schedule.
- Accuracy and completeness of trial documentation.
- Turnaround time on raw material screening requests.
- Maintain Records of Raw Material used in R&D;
- Maintain Records of Stability Study Samples in R&D;

Qualification & Experience B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry or Cosmetic Science, 2-4 years of hands-on lab experience in a personal care/cosmetics R&D; setting.

Skills Required

Lab technique and precision, attention to detail, basic formulation knowledge, documentation discipline, ability to follow protocols exactly.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
