Designation: Executive Engineer – Civil

Reporting To: Project Manager

1. Job Purpose

To manage and supervise civil construction activities at the project site, ensuring that all works are executed safely, efficiently, within the approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, budget and project schedule.

1. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution

- Plan, coordinate and supervise day-to-day civil construction activities.

- Ensure execution of works as per approved drawings, specifications and method statements.

- Monitor progress against the project schedule and achieve planned targets.

- Coordinate with Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors and other departments for smooth execution.

- Identify site issues and provide practical technical solutions.

Site Supervision

- Supervise RCC, structural, masonry, plastering, finishing, flooring and other civil works.

- Check levels, dimensions, alignment and workmanship at various stages of construction.

- Ensure availability and proper utilization of manpower, materials, tools and equipment.

- Monitor subcontractor performance and productivity.

- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure timely completion of activities.

Drawings &

- Technical Coordination

- Study and understand architectural, structural and civil drawings.

- Coordinate with the design/engineering team for drawing clarifications and revisions.

- Ensure construction is carried out only as per the latest approved drawings.

- Prepare and maintain site records, measurements and technical documentation.

Quality Control

- Ensure construction activities comply with approved specifications and quality standards.

- Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections and testing.





- Ensure proper execution of concrete, reinforcement, waterproofing and finishing works.

- Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Planning &

- Monitoring

- Prepare daily and weekly work plans.

- Monitor actual progress against planned quantities.

- Provide regular progress reports to the Project Manager.

- Support preparation of quantity estimates, material requirements and resource plans.

- Monitor wastage and ensure optimum utilization of materials.

Safety

- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and project HSE requirements.

- Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe practices and conditions.

- Ensure workers and subcontractors follow required safety procedures and PPE requirements.

- Immediately report and address safety concerns.

Commercial &

- Documentation

- Verify subcontractor measurements and work quantities.

- Assist in preparation and certification of RA Bills.

- Maintain measurement books, work records and material reconciliation.

- Monitor additional works, variations and deviations and obtain necessary approvals.

- Coordinate with stores and purchase teams for material requirements.

Team Management

- Lead and guide site engineers, supervisors and subcontractor teams.

- Allocate work and monitor individual/team performance.

- Coordinate with other departments to resolve site-level issues.

- Maintain effective communication with clients,



consultants and project management.

1. Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

- Relevant professional experience in construction/EPC projects.

- Knowledge of construction methods, quality standards and site safety practices.

1. Experience

8–12 years of relevant experience in civil construction/project execution, preferably in large-scale building, industrial, infrastructure or EPC projects.

- Strong knowledge of civil construction and site execution.

- Good understanding of RCC and finishing works.

- Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings.

- Planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.

- Valuable knowledge of MS Office and construction-related software.

- Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.

- Strong leadership and team-management skills.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work under project deadlines.
