Purpose of the Role

The Draftsperson will be responsible for preparing, modifying, and managing detailed engineering drawings for civil, structural, and architectural works. The role requires strong coordination with design engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure accurate and timely drawing deliverables aligned with project requirements and standards.

The role also includes supporting document control activities such as numbering, record maintenance, and version tracking to ensure systematic documentation.

Job Responsibility

. 1. Drafting & Detailing

Prepare detailed civil, structural, and architectural drawings including:

- GA drawings, layouts, sections, and elevations
- Structural detailing (RCC & steel structures)
- Reinforcement detailing (footings, columns, beams, slabs)
- Architectural plans and detailing (finishes, façade, etc.)
- Convert concept designs/sketches into GFC drawings
- Create 3-dimensional BIM (REVIT) models. Utilize BIM to analyse potential design solutions for building services clashes. Ability to create presentation drawings with perspectives using REVIT

2. Software & Tools

- Work extensively on: AutoCAD (mandatory), Basic knowledge of Revit / Tekla / SketchUp is preferred
- Maintain drawing CAD standards (layers, scales, templates)

3. Drawing Management & Documentation

- Maintain drawing register and revision control system
- Maintain drawing register and revision control system
- Ensure proper versioning and traceability of drawings
- Support issuance of GFC, IFC, and As-built drawings
- Ensure compliance with company standards and IS codes

4. Coordination

- Coordinate with Design engineers (civil & structural), Architects, Execution/site teams.
- Incorporate design changes and site feedback into drawings

5. Site Support

- Assist site teams in understanding drawings
- Assist site teams in understanding drawings
- Update and maintain as-built drawings
- Visit site if required for verification

6. Document Control & Records Management





- Assign and manage drawing/document numbering as per company system
- Assign and manage drawing/document numbering as per company system
- Maintain centralized records of drawings, revisions, and submissions
- Track and update document status (Issued / Revised / Approved)
- Ensure proper filing (soft & hard copies) and retrieval of drawings/documents
- Support audits by ensuring documentation is complete, traceable, and updated
- Coordinate with stakeholders for timely document submission and closure

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of civil, structural, and architectural drawings
- Knowledge of reinforcement detailing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Good understanding of drawing/document control systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong coordination and communication skills

Preferred Experience:

- Exp- 4-8 year
- Education - Diploma in Civil
- Industrial / plant infrastructure projects
- Steel structures, sheds, equipment foundations
- Exposure to BIM tools (Revit/Tekla)

Behavioral Competencies:

- Strong documentation discipline
- Ability to manage multiple revisions and deadlines
- Team player with structured and organized approach

Key Deliverables:

- Accurate and error-free drawings
- Timely issuance of drawings (GFC / As-built)
