Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented ETL Testing DataValidation Engineer to join our Data Engineering and Quality Assurance team.The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating data extraction,transformation and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring the accuracy,completeness, consistency and integrity of data across enterprise dataplatforms, data warehouses and reporting systems.

The candidate should possess strong Analytical skills, hands-on experience inETL testing, Advanced SQL expertise and a solid understanding of Data Warehousingconcepts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. `RequirementsAnalysis: Analyze business requirements, functional specificationsand Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documents to define test scope andcriteria. `

2. TestPlanning Execution: Design, develop and executecomprehensive ETL test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test scripts.

1. `ETLData Pipeline Validation: Validate data extraction,transformation and loading (ETL) processes to ensure compliance with businessrules, data mappings and technical specifications. `
2. `DataReconciliation: Perform source-to-target data validation andreconciliation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, referentialintegrity and compliance with business rules across multiple databases,applications and data platforms. `
3. `BackendTesting Querying: Execute advanced SQL queries to performbackend data validation, data profiling and root cause analysis. `
4. `DataWarehouse Verification: Validate data warehouse and dataintegration solutions, including fact and dimension models,



aggregations,Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs), full-load and incremental-load processes andChange Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms to ensure data accuracy and integrity. `
5. `TestData Management: Develop, maintain and manage comprehensivetest data sets covering positive, negative, boundary and exception scenarios tosupport ETL testing, data migration, data reconciliation and end-to-end datavalidation activities. `
6. `Automation: Design and implement automated data validation, reconciliation and qualityassurance frameworks wherever feasible. `
7. ` Defect Management: Identify, track,prioritize and manage defects through resolution using defect management tools. `
8. ` Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Developers and businessstakeholders to investigate and resolve data-related issues. `
9. ` Test Cycle Support: Support SystemIntegration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT)and Production Validation activities. Participate in requirement reviews andprovide input on testability, data quality risks and validation strategies. `
10. ` Documentation Reporting: Createand maintain test execution reports, defect metrics and testing documentation. `
11. ` Mentorship Best Practices:



Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on test automation,data quality monitoring and process optimization. Mentor junior team membersand promote best practices in ETL testing, data validation and qualityassurance. `

Required Skills Qualifications:

1. `Education: Bachelorsdegree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or a relatedquantitative field. `
2. `Experience: 5+years of relevant hands-on experience in ETL testing, data warehousetesting, or database quality assurance. `
3. `SQLProficiency: Advanced SQL skills (subqueries, windowfunctions, CTEs, complex joins, stored procedures, performance tuning). `
4. `DataWarehousing Knowledge: Strong understanding of dimensionalmodeling (Star/Snowflake schema), OLAP concepts, normalization / denormalizationand data lineage. `
5. `ETLTool Familiarity: Hands-on experience working with or Testingpipelines built with tools such as Informatica/ Talend/ SSIS, Azure DataFactory (ADF), AWS Glue or dbt. `
6. `RDBMSData Platforms: Strong experience with relational databases(e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and up-to-date Cloud Data Warehouses (e.g.,BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks.) `
7. `DefectTest Management: Proficiency with tools such as Jira,Confluence, HP ALM/Quality Center or Zephyr. `
8. `Experiencein the healthcare domain, project execution, and/or knowledge of HL7 or FHIRstandards and regulations would be an added advantage. `
