Job Purpose To prepare accurate, competitive and timely cost estimates, quotations and tender submissions for the company's landscaping projects in Dubai — covering softscape, hardscape, irrigation, drainage, water features, landscape lighting and maintenance — and to hand over a sound cost budget to the Dubai projects team on award.

The role works from the Kanhangad office in close daily coordination with the UAE management.

Key ResponsibilitiesTENDER REVIEW & TAKE-OFF

- Study tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, contract conditions and addenda, and identify scope, exclusions, risks and commercial qualifications.
- Carry out accurate quantity take-offs from landscape drawings — planting quantities and pot sizes, turf and groundcover areas, topsoil and soil conditioner volumes, paving, kerbs, natural stone, decking, pergolas, water features, seating, play areas, irrigation networks, drainage and lighting.
- Prepare BOQs and pricing schedules where the client has not issued one.
- Brief the Dubai team on what to check during site visits and pre-tender meetings, and interpret the site photographs, survey data and level information received to assess access, existing conditions and constraints.
- Draft technical and commercial clarifications for issue to the client or consultant within the tender period.

COSTING & PRICING

- Obtain and compare quotations from nurseries, suppliers and subcontractors for plants and trees, soil, hardscape materials, irrigation components, pumps, controllers, lighting, water features and specialist works.
- Build up unit rates covering material, labour, plant and equipment, transportation,



site establishment, wastage, preliminaries, overheads and margin.
- Prepare comparison sheets for supplier and subcontractor selection and recommend the best commercial option.
- Propose value-engineering alternatives — plant substitutions, paving and irrigation options — without compromising specification intent.
- Price provisional sums, day works, maintenance periods and AMC proposals.
- Maintain and regularly update an in-house rate database reflecting current UAE market prices.

SUBMISSION & HANDOVER

- Prepare complete technical and commercial proposals with method statements, programme, plant schedules, cash-flow forecasts and prequalification documents.
- Submit tenders and quotations before the deadline and follow up with clients and consultants on status.
- Participate in post-tender negotiations, clarifications and final rate discussions.
- On award, hand over the approved budget, rate build-ups and supplier/subcontractor comparisons to the projects and procurement teams.
- Price variations, change orders and additional works during project execution when required.
- Carry out post-tender analysis of won and lost bids and report findings to management to improve future pricing.

Qualifications & Skills

- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering,



Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Agriculture or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years in estimation and tendering with a landscaping or civil contracting company; UAE or Gulf experience strongly preferred.
- Sound knowledge of UAE market rates for plants, hardscape materials, irrigation systems and landscaping labour, and the ability to keep those rates current from an overseas base.
- Able to work effectively with an overseas team over email, WhatsApp, video calls and shared cloud storage, and to price a job without walking the site.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape, irrigation and civil drawings and specifications.
- Advanced MS Excel; AutoCAD for measurement; take-off software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam or Cubicost is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of Dubai Municipality and master-developer landscape and irrigation specifications.
- Understanding of irrigation system design principles — mainline, sub-main, laterals, drip and sprinkler zoning, pump and tank sizing.
- Solid numerical, analytical and negotiation skills; able to work accurately under tender deadlines.
- Excellent written and spoken English.

- All tenders submitted on or before the deadline.
- Take-off accuracy within an agreed tolerance of final measured quantities.
- Executed project cost within the estimated budget.
- Tender win ratio and quality of post-tender analysis.
- Rate database kept current and used consistently across bids.
