Role Description The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and BOQs for switchboard projects, analyzing technical specifications, and reviewing drawings and client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with the sales and engineering teams, evaluating material and labor costs, and preparing commercial offers and technical proposals. The role involves conducting market research on pricing and suppliers, supporting negotiations with clients and vendors,



and updating estimation databases and templates.

The Estimation

Engineer will also assist in project budgeting, cost control, and documentation to ensure timely and competitive bids. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in BOQ preparation and project estimation for electrical or related engineering projects.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Candidates should possess effective negotiation and communication skills for coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess research and analytical skills to benchmark costs, track market trends, and optimize project estimates.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software; familiarity with ERP or similar tools is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work to deadlines in a rapid-paced project workplace.
- Prior experience in switchgear, LV panels, or construction/electrical contracting estimation is beneficial.
