Diplomats Group is Hiring: Safety Engineer / HSE Professional

We are looking for an experienced Safety Engineer / HSE professional to manage site safety for our high-rise construction project.

Minimum experience: 8 years in construction safety / HSE. Candidates with hands-on experience in high-rise construction and working on sites with high-tension power lines will be preferred.

Qualifications & Experience

- B.Tech in Civil Engineering, supported by a recognised qualification in Industrial Safety, Construction Safety, or Occupational Health & Safety.
- NEBOSH IGC or an equivalent recognised HSE certification preferred.
- Strong experience in risk assessments, safe work method statements, permit-to-work systems, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Practical knowledge of electrical hazards and safe construction practices around high-tension power lines, including exclusion zones, equipment movement controls, and coordination with the relevant electricity authority.
- Experience managing work at height, scaffolding, lifting operations, crane safety, excavation, and emergency response.
- Strong communication skills to conduct toolbox talks, train workers,



and enforce safety standards across contractors and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor the project’s HSE plan and site safety procedures.
- Identify hazards, conduct inspections, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Establish and monitor controls for construction activities near high-tension power lines.
- Oversee safety for high-rise construction activities and coordinate with project teams and contractors.
- Maintain safety records, investigate incidents and near misses, and conduct emergency drills.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements and promote a solid safety culture.
