We are looking Production Engineer for Operations department at Endress+Hauser Flowtec India Private Limited at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra Location

About the position:

The Production Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring manufacturing operations to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity (SQDCP) objectives. The role involves daily shopfloor management, process optimization, continuous improvement, manpower utilization, production order execution, and coordination with Planning, Quality, Procurement, Logistics, and Industrial Engineering functions. The incumbent will drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and digital manufacturing practices while ensuring compliance with E+H quality and safety standards.

This position will report to Head of Production / Production Manager

Education background.

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering from a reputed institute.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Industrial Engineering is an added advantage.

Experience:

- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing operations.
- Experience in assembly, machining, welding, fabrication, coating, instrumentation, process equipment, or heavy engineering manufacturing is preferred.
- Working knowledge of SAP PP/MM and manufacturing KPI systems.

Main Tasks:

- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning and execution.




- SAP PP/MM user knowledge, including BOM, routing, work centers, and production orders.
- Knowledge of TPM, OEE, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and visual management.
- Exposure to IMS and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
- Working knowledge of 8D, Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, & CAPA
- Good knowledge of workplace safety practices and risk controls.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute daily production plans to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Monitor production output against plan and initiate corrective actions for deviations.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and available capacity.
- Drive adherence to production schedules, standard work, and takt time.
- Manage shift activities and ensure smooth shopfloor operations.
- Lead Daily Management System reviews and structured escalation of abnormalities.
- Monitor and improve OEE, productivity, efficiency, and line performance.
- Drive 5S, visual management, autonomous maintenance, and TPM activities.
- Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks through structured problem solving.
- Implement Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with product specifications, control plans, work instructions, quality standards.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance for inspections and product clearances.
- Support root cause analysis, containment, CAPA, and prevention of recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with IMS, customer requirements, and applicable E+H standards.
- Ensure protected working practices across manufacturing operations.




- Conduct safety observations and promote a zero-incident culture.
- Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and applicable statutory regulations.
- Participate in risk assessments and timely closure of corrective actions.
- Monitor production orders in SAP and follow up on execution status.
- Ensure timely and accurate confirmations and production transactions.
- Maintain production records, traceability, and performance reports.
- Support inventory accuracy, material reconciliation, and WIP control.
- Lead productivity, cost reduction, and process optimization projects.
- Drive waste elimination and improve cycle time, flow, ergonomics, and workplace organization.
- Support digitalization, automation, and data-based decision making.
- Coordinate with PPC, Quality, SCM, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, and Maintenance.
- Escalate material, quality, equipment, and capacity constraints in a timely manner.
- Ensure seamless execution of production orders and customer priorities.
- Guide operators and line leaders on production standards and best practices.
- Conduct skill development, process training, and on-the-job coaching.
- Maintain skill matrices and support multiskilling plans.
- Foster teamwork, discipline, ownership, and a continuous improvement culture.
