Job Summary

Gcarbon Private Limited is looking for an experienced Energy Auditor to lead and execute energy audit and energy-efficiency projects for our clients.

The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of energy audit projects, including client interaction, data collection, site assessments, energy measurements, technical analysis, identification of energy-saving opportunities, financial evaluation, report preparation, client presentations, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct preliminary and detailed energy audits for industrial and commercial facilities.
- Conduct on-site inspections, equipment assessments, and energy measurements.
- Analyse electricity, fuel, steam, thermal and other energy consumption data.
- Assess electrical systems including transformers, motors, pumps, compressors, HVAC, lighting, VFDs, power factor and power quality.
- Assess thermal and process systems including boilers, furnaces, steam systems, chillers, cooling towers, compressed air and heat recovery systems.
- Identify energy losses, inefficiencies and Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs).
- Calculate energy-saving potential, cost savings, implementation costs and payback periods.
- Develop energy baselines, Energy Performance Indicators (EnPIs) and energy balances.
- Prepare detailed energy audit reports, technical assessments, DPRs and management summaries.




- Present findings and recommendations to clients.
- Manage assigned projects from client requirements through final report and follow-up.
- Coordinate with client teams, plant personnel, maintenance teams and management.
- Support the development of energy-efficiency and decarbonization strategies.
- Share technical knowledge and help develop the Gcarbon team's capabilities in energy auditing and energy efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in energy auditing, energy management, energy efficiency, energy conservation or industrial/commercial energy assessment.
- Strong practical knowledge of electrical and thermal energy systems.
- Experience in conducting site-based energy audits and technical assessments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and technical calculations.
- Strong technical report-writing and presentation skills.
- Valuable client communication and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel for client/site audits when required.

Preferred Certifications Candidates with any of the following will be preferred:





- BEE Certified Energy Auditor (CEA)
- BEE Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
- Accredited Energy Auditor (AEA)
- Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP)
- ISO 50001 experience/certification
- Other recognised energy-efficiency or energy-management certifications.

Additional Advantage Knowledge or experience in ESG, GHG accounting, Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions, carbon footprinting, sustainability reporting, renewable energy, decarbonization and net-zero strategies will be an advantage.

Salary

₹40,000 - ₹1,50,000 per month The final compensation will depend on relevant experience, BEE certification/accreditation, technical expertise, industry experience, client-handling capabilities and ability to independently execute energy audit projects.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an Energy Auditor / Energy Consultant / Energy Manager who can independently manage projects and deliver technically sound and financially practical energy-efficiency solutions.
