Job Position

Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a Technical Lead for Java Back-end development to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise-grade applications.

Job Responsibilities

- Lead architecture, design, and development of enterprise-scale Java applications.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing microservices.
- Define technical standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of backend developers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical coaching.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, QA, and Business Stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Drive API strategy, integration design, and system interoperability.
- Ensure application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production issues.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and DevOps adoption.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release management activities.




- Drive technical debt reduction and platform modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

- Bachelor Degree in Information Technology/Data Engineering or similar combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of software development experience with Java.

Skills And Competencies

- Strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate, and Microservices.
- Experience with REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience deploying and supporting applications in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of system design, scalability, and performance tuning.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
