Role & responsibilities

- Carry out the inspections of electrical installations and should be recorded in field inspection report and submit to the mines manager with actions on the observations.

- Planning, supervision and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment used in the mines.

- Ensure the statutory compliances of electrical systems associated with crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, workshops, weighbridges, lighting and other mines electrical installations.

- Monitor power consumption, specific energy consumption and equipment efficiency and identify opportunities for energy saving.

- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of HT/LT switchgear, cables, earthing and lightning protection systems under personal supervision certified electrical supervisor.





- Ensure proper applicable permits & standard during maintenance/rectifications related to electrical safety in mines.

Ensure registers, records and returns as per statutory requirement DGMS and Indian Electricity Rules/Regulations

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience in Highly opencast mechanized Limestone Mines for more than Five years in electrical installations.

- Knowledge of DGMS electrical safety requirements, Electricity Rules/Regulations, CEA safety requirements and applicable statutory rules & regulations.

Knowledge of HT/LT systems, electrical protection, earthing, LOTO and electrical safety practices in mines
