SkillMatrix is hiring on behalf of our client, a Singapore-headquartered leader in high-tech machinery, industrial automation and environmental control systems. The company specializes in advanced engineering solutions including process equipment, exhaust and emission control systems, automation, and integrated machinery solutions for high-tech manufacturing environments.

With an established presence in Singapore and Southeast Asia, our client supports customers across advanced manufacturing sectors, including semiconductor, clean-tech, solar/PV and other technology-driven industries, and is now expanding its engineering operations in Bangalore, India.

Location: Bangalore, India, with occasional short-term domestic and international travel based on project requirements.

Role Description

We are looking for a practical, self-driven Electrical & PLC Engineer to support our new Bangalore operation. The role will cover electrical control design, panel documentation, PLC/HMI programming, system integration, testing, and commissioning for high-tech machinery projects, while coordinating closely with local teams and the Singapore head office.

The successful candidate will take ownership of reviewing and improving electrical designs, developing new control circuits, preparing clear electrical CAD and control-system documentation, building and commissioning control-panel solutions, and supporting PLC/HMI programming.

This role requires strong practical capability across electrical design, automation, pneumatics, testing, commissioning, and engineering documentation within a growing India operation of a Singapore-headquartered high-tech machinery group.

The role reports to the Engineering Manager, Project Manager, or Director and works closely with mechanical design, automation, production, fabrication, procurement,



site execution teams, and the Singapore head office.

Employment Type Full-time The role supports electrical design, automation and control, panel documentation, circuit development, PLC/HMI programming, and project engineering for high-tech machinery and equipment projects.

Depending on project requirements, the successful candidate may operate as the primary technical resource for local electrical and automation activities.

Applicant Profile

We welcome qualified regional applicants with 2–4 years of relevant experience in areas such as:

- Electrical design and electrical CAD
- Automation and industrial control systems
- PLC/HMI programming
- Control panel design and documentation
- Electrical circuit development
- Project-based engineering

Candidates with strong transferable experience using comparable PLC/HMI platforms are also encouraged to apply.

Work Location and Travel

Location: Bangalore, India The role is based at the company’s new Bangalore branch.

Occasional short-term domestic or international travel may be required for:

- Installation and commissioning
- Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
- Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Client-site support
- Overseas project assignments
- Visits to the Singapore head office

Travel is expected to be limited and project-based , depending on operational and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and improve existing electrical designs, control circuits, and panel layouts for safety, reliability, and maintainability.
- Develop new electrical control circuits for industrial machinery and equipment.
- Prepare schematics, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, panel layouts, terminal plans, cable schedules, and I/O lists using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools.
- Program, test, and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs, including LS Electric XG5000 and Weintek EasyBuilder Pro; experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider, Delta, or similar systems is also relevant.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, pneumatics, VFDs, servo drives,



and instruments with control systems.
- Support panel wiring, FAT, troubleshooting, installation checks, and on-site commissioning.
- Coordinate with mechanical, procurement, production, panel-building, site, and project teams to ensure designs are practical, safe, and meet project requirements.

Required Skills and Experience

- 2–4 years of experience in electrical engineering, automation, control systems, or high-tech machinery.
- Able to review, improve, and create electrical designs, control panels, circuits, schematics, wiring diagrams, and related documentation.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar electrical design software.
- Robust knowledge of PLC/HMI systems, motors, sensors, relays, drives, actuators, instrumentation, and industrial automation.
- Experience with LS Electric XG5000 and Weintek EasyBuilder Pro preferred; experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider, Delta, or similar PLC/HMI platforms is acceptable.
- Knowledge of IEC 61131-3 programming and Modbus RTU/TCP/IP communication.
- Familiar with pneumatics, P&IDs;, control narratives, equipment layouts, and panel wiring.
- Able to work independently, make technical decisions, and coordinate with project, mechanical, procurement, fabrication, and site teams.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Automation Engineering preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical standards, safety circuits, testing, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and project/document-control systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a practical, self-driven Electrical & Automation Engineer who can take ownership of electrical design review, control circuit development, electrical CAD documentation, PLC/HMI programming support, testing, and commissioning of high-tech machinery systems. The candidate should be confident working independently, capable of making sound technical decisions with minimal supervision, and comfortable acting as the primary electrical engineering resource for local project activities.

Strong coordination skills are also essential, as the role involves working closely with project, mechanical, procurement, fabrication, site execution teams, and the Singapore head office to ensure electrical and automation solutions are practical, reliable, and aligned with project requirements.
