ELECTRICAL SERVICE ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS & MAINTENANCE

ABOUT THE ROLE

UrjaNXT is looking for a hands-on Electrical Service Engineer with strong experience in electrical system servicing, preventive maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting.

This is a field-based role requiring regular visits and travel to industrial and commercial client sites for service, maintenance, breakdown and commissioning activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems at client sites.

- Troubleshoot and attend breakdowns related to electrical panels, switchgear, control circuits and power distribution systems.
- Service PCC, MCC, APFC, LT and HT panels.
- Troubleshoot MCCBs, ACBs, contactors, relays, meters, capacitor banks and control circuits.
- Carry out thermal scanning, torque checking, cleaning, inspection and other preventive maintenance activities.
- Perform IR, continuity and functional testing.
- Support testing and commissioning of panels, transformers, switchgear and other electrical equipment.
- Read and interpret SLDs, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting.
- Identify root causes of electrical faults and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with client electrical/maintenance teams and provide technical support.
- Prepare service,



breakdown and preventive maintenance reports.
- Follow electrical safety, isolation and permit-to-work procedures.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in electrical service and maintenance.

- Strong industrial/client-site experience preferred.
- Good experience in electrical panel servicing and troubleshooting.
- Experience with PCC, MCC, APFC and LT panels.
- Knowledge of HT panels, transformers and protection systems will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of electrical testing and fault finding.
- Ability to read SLDs and electrical schematics.
- Robust practical problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly to client sites and attend breakdown/service calls when required.

QUALIFICATION

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering preferred.

- ITI Electrician with strong relevant service and maintenance experience may also be considered.
