Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide Health and Safety programs, policies, and procedures.

- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations (e.g. ISO 14001 & 45001).

- Maintain documentation and records for audits, inspections, and government authorities.

- Use EHS management software or portals to record, track, and report safety activities and compliances.

- Conduct and review risk assessments (HIRA, JSA, etc.) and implement effective control measures.

- Review the progress of findings and corrective actions initiated from Inspections, Audits and Incidences.

- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective/preventive actions.

- Check and report all incidents (Accident, First-aid and Near Miss) timely, conduct root cause analysis and ensure the implementation of relevant counter measures.

- Deliver safety training and toolbox talk to employees and supervisors on a variety of topics.

- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation.

- Support Emergency preparedness plans and coordinate drills (fire, spill, medical response, etc.) and maintains records of such drills.





- To promote setting up of safety committees and to act as an adviser and catalyst to such Committees.

- Maintenance of such records as are necessary relating to accidents; dangerous occurrences and industrial diseases; to carry out plant safety inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by the workers and to render advice on measures to be adopted for reducing the unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers.

- To maintain records and disposal of Hazardous Waste/E Waste/Batteries Waste/Bio Medical Waste as per CPCB/SPCB and submit annual returns as required under relevant rules and guidelines.

- To adhere and implement compliance conditions as per CTO/Fire NOC/HWM.

- Stay up to date with legislation, trends, and innovations in Occupational Health and Safety, adhere and implement OHC requirement and compliance as per Act.

Qualifications

- Relevant working experience of 12+ Years

- B. Tech – Mechanical, Electrical, Fire & Safety, bachelor’s degree in science (PCM), industrial safety recognized by the State Government in this behalf.

- Safety Diploma – RLI/CLI/State Technical Board (Full Time)
