Drilling QA Lead - Landmark DWP - Hybrid, 1 day/week in office
This is a hybrid role requiring 1 day per week in the office . Candidates may be based in or work from any one of the following locations :

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to support upstream Oil & Gas applications within the Landmark DWP ecosystem.
The role will lead QA activities across one or more moderate-to-complex projects, ensuring high software quality through strong test planning, execution, defect management, and collaboration with cross-functional delivery teams.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in software testing and/or development, with hands-on experience in upstream Oil & Gas environments. Exposure to drilling and completions workflows, including well construction, fluids management, and performance monitoring, is highly preferred. Experience with EDT applications is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QA efforts across upstream Oil & Gas applications to ensure reliable and high-quality software delivery.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases covering functional, integration, performance, regression, smoke, and UAT testing.
- Collaborate closely with developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to align test strategy with business objectives.
- Manage defect logging, tracking, triage, and resolution, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Support test automation initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of test frameworks and processes.
- Assist with secure architecture design reviews and preparation of applications for security testing.
- Ensure security vulnerabilities are identified, tracked, and mitigated appropriately.
- Contribute to release planning by estimating QA and documentation effort and providing input on product improvements based on prior releases and customer feedback.
- Mentor and guide a team of manual and automated testers as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Computer Science, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in upstream Oil & Gas software environments, preferably in a QA role.
- Solid understanding of drilling and completions workflows such as well construction, fluids management, and performance monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments with tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, or JIRA.
- Excellent communication, analytical, documentation, and decision-making skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Landmark EDT applications.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
- Familiarity with engineering software such as WellCat, WellPlan, and Compass.
- Exposure to test automation tools and test framework design.
- Master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
