We are supporting a global pharmaceutical organisation looking for an experienced Digital Science Data Operations & Products Expert to provide delivery management across a portfolio of live Science data platform and data product initiatives.
This is a 4-5 month freelance assignment , working remotely with teams across India, France and Spain .
The Role
This is a delivery management position rather than a hands-on engineering role . You will coordinate internal teams and external suppliers, manage multiple parallel workstreams, maintain governance and provide clear visibility of delivery progress, risks and dependencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple data platform and data product workstreams.
- Manage plans, milestones, actions, risks and dependencies.
- Coordinate internal teams, offshore delivery teams and external suppliers.
- Chair working sessions and governance meetings.
- Produce clear and actionable status reporting for senior leadership.
- Challenge supplier plans, estimates, risks and delivery timelines.
- Support data migration and platform implementation through cutover.
- Manage architecture, change/release and data governance activities.
- Support retention, archival, production deployment and transition activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation, trackers and governance records.
Essential Experience
- 4+ years' experience managing data platform or data product delivery.
- Pharma / Life Sciences experience is essential.
- Experience working with Pharmacovigilance, Real World Evidence, R&D; or Regulatory teams.
- Experience acting as the client-side delivery counterpart to offshore teams and System Integrators.
- Experience taking a data migration or platform implementation through to cutover .
- Strong programme/project organisation and delivery discipline.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and reporting skills.
- Comfortable operating with senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Able to work autonomously from day one.
- Fluent English and India-based, with flexibility to overlap European hours.
Technical Awareness You don't need to be a developer, but should be comfortable discussing and challenging delivery across technologies such as:
SQL | Airflow | dbt | Power BI | Snowflake | Databricks | AWS

Pharma/Life Sciences experience is non-negotiable for this position.
