Salary: ₹8,000–₹20,000/month, depending on experience and skills

NewsBreak24 is an independent digital news publication based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, covering major developments across India and the world, including politics, business, technology, entertainment, sports and more.

We are expanding our digital newsroom and are looking for a fast, accurate and news-aware Digital News Writer & Web Publisher to join our editorial team.

What You'll Do

- Monitor credible news sources, official announcements, agencies and developing stories throughout your shift.
- Identify key and relevant stories for NewsBreak24.
- Research, write, edit and publish news articles on NewsBreak24.com.
- Write clear, factual and reader-friendly headlines and articles.
- Publish and format stories correctly in WordPress.
- Add categories, tags, featured images, image credits and other required publishing information.
- Prepare SEO titles, meta descriptions and other basic on-page SEO elements.
- Verify facts, names, figures, dates, quotations and sources before publication.
- Properly attribute agencies, official statements and third-party sources.
- Monitor developing stories and update published articles when necessary.
- Contact organisations,



officials or relevant sources for statements/confirmation when assigned.
- Assist with basic original reporting and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with the social media team so important website stories are distributed quickly.
- Flag sensitive, legally risky or uncertain stories to the Editor before publication.
- Follow NewsBreak24's Editorial Policy, Fact-Checking Policy, Corrections Policy and other newsroom standards.

What We're Looking For
- Excellent written English.
- Strong interest in news and current affairs.
- Ability to write clean news copy quickly without sacrificing accuracy .
- Good research and fact-checking ability.
- Understanding of credible vs unreliable sources.
- Familiarity with WordPress preferred.
- Basic understanding of SEO preferred.
- Journalism, Mass Communication, English or related education is helpful but not mandatory .
- Previous digital media/newsroom experience is preferred.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote newsroom.
- Ability to respond quickly during major breaking stories.

Important This is not a copy-paste content-writing role .

We're looking for someone who understands that accuracy, attribution and verification come before speed.
