Role & responsibilities

- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of press tools, dies, and related equipment.

- Ensure optimum availability of dies to achieve production targets.

- Carry out die inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and restoration activities.

- Monitor die performance and take corrective actions to minimize rejection and downtime.

- Conduct die setting, alignment, and trial activities during production changeovers.

- Analyze die failures and implement root cause corrective actions.

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Tool Room teams for smooth operations.

- Maintain die maintenance records, checklists, and history cards.

- Support recent die development, modifications, and commissioning activities.

- Ensure proper maintenance of die spare parts and consumables.

- Drive TPM, Kaizen,



5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical, Tool Engineering, Production Engineering, or equivalent.

- 3-8 years (Executive) / 6-12 years (Sr. Executive) of experience in die maintenance within automotive manufacturing.

- Hands-on experience with Press Shop Dies, Progressive Dies, Transfer Dies, and Sheet Metal Tooling.

- Strong knowledge of die tryout, die spotting, die assembly, and troubleshooting.

- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.;
