Senior DevOps Engineer / DevOps Lead

About the Role

Hotelogix is looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer / DevOps Lead to manage, scale, secure and continuously improve the infrastructure supporting our cloud-based hospitality SaaS platform.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, networking, infrastructure security, monitoring and production operations, with proven experience managing business-critical and highly available systems.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong production ownership and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across dedicated/private data centers, virtualized environments, cloud infrastructure and microservices-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain highly available production, staging and development infrastructure.
- Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes, Docker and containerized applications.
- Design, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar platforms.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux/Ubuntu production servers.
- Manage infrastructure across private/dedicated data centers, virtualized environments and public cloud.
- Manage and troubleshoot networking, VPC/VLANs, routing, load balancers, firewalls, DNS, storage and connectivity.
- Manage WAF, SSL/TLS certificates, network security and production access controls.
- Implement infrastructure security best practices including server hardening, IAM/RBAC, least-privilege access, secrets management, patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Build and maintain effective monitoring, centralized logging and alerting for production systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot servers, Kubernetes workloads, applications, databases, load balancers and network services.
- Lead resolution of critical production incidents and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with preventive actions.
- Perform capacity planning and proactively identify infrastructure, reliability and performance bottlenecks.
- Maintain and periodically validate backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes.




- Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational activities using scripting and DevOps tools.
- Support infrastructure migrations and changes across cloud, private and dedicated data-center environments.
- Work closely with Engineering, QA and Security teams on deployments, production issues, security findings and infrastructure improvements.
- Mentor DevOps team members while remaining actively involved in technical implementation and troubleshooting.

Must-Have Skills

- 10-15 years of relevant DevOps, Infrastructure or System Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Ubuntu administration and Bash/Shell scripting.
- Strong production experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong experience with Jenkins/CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Strong hands-on experience managing production infrastructure across cloud, private cloud, virtualized and/or dedicated data-center environments.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, networking, routing, firewalls, load balancers, DNS and HTTP/HTTPS.
- Experience managing WAF, SSL/TLS and infrastructure security controls.
- Good understanding of IAM/RBAC, least-privilege access, secrets/credential management and server hardening.
- Experience with security patching, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure security reviews.
- Strong experience with monitoring, logging and alerting using tools such as ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic or equivalent.
- Experience supporting microservices as well as monolithic applications.
- Experience with Apache, Nginx or similar web/application infrastructure.
- Good operational knowledge of MySQL and MongoDB, including monitoring, backup/recovery and basic troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of high availability, capacity planning,



backup and disaster recovery.
- Solid production incident management, troubleshooting and RCA skills.
- Ability to remain technically hands-on and independently troubleshoot complex production issues.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Experience managing hybrid infrastructure across private/dedicated data centers and public cloud.
- Experience with infrastructure migrations between cloud and private/data-center environments.
- Exposure to public cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure.
- Experience with enterprise load balancers, WAF, firewalls and network security platforms.
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent.
- Configuration management using Ansible or equivalent.
- Helm and Kubernetes deployment automation.
- Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and New Relic.
- Kubernetes autoscaling and performance optimization.
- Redis and database infrastructure exposure.
- Python scripting for infrastructure automation.
- Container/image vulnerability scanning and Kubernetes security.
- DevSecOps practices and security checks within CI/CD pipelines.
- VAPT remediation and security incident response.
- Secrets-management platforms.
- Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS or similar security/compliance environments.
- Experience supporting high-volume SaaS or transactional platforms.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone with strong production ownership, troubleshooting ability, infrastructure fundamentals, security awareness and an automation mindset.

The candidate should be capable of independently investigating complex production issues across:

DNS WAF Load Balancer Network Kubernetes/Server Application Database The person should be comfortable handling critical production incidents, improving system reliability and security, identifying infrastructure risks and bottlenecks, and working closely with Engineering and Security teams.

For this senior role, hands-on technical capability, infrastructure fundamentals and production troubleshooting experience are more important than expertise in any particular cloud provider or certifications.
