DevOps Engineer, play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our microservice infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Required AI skills LiteLLM, Langflow, Azure Agentic Foundry, Azure Agentic Framework, OpenWebUI.

- Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes based environments for microservices on public cloud platform.

- Good understanding of entire retail domain and ecommerce eco systems and able to provide solutions that should be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization and architectural standards.

- Expertise in Kubernetes distributions like AKS, GCP, etc.

- Implement and manage service mesh architecture for microservices using Istio for enhanced communication, security, and observability, OpenTelemetry.

- Good knowledge and experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Opsera, GitLab CI.

- Version control tools like GitLab, Bitbucket, Ansible.

- Packaging tools like Docker, Gradle/Maven, Nexus, JFrog, etc.

- Expert knowledge of GitOps principles to manage infrastructure as code, utilizing tools like Helm, ArgoCD, and Terraform.

- Hands on experience in Linux server management and shell scripting.

- Good understanding of the client architecture and application integrations to help in designing of solutions and processes.

- Utilize Python, Groovy, and Bash scripting for automation and integration tasks.

- Set up and manage monitoring and alerting using Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure system performance and reliability.

- Neat hands on experience in multiple cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.

- Good understandings of FinOps tools.

- Designing and provisioning of new microservices as requested by project team.

- Good knowledge of Vendor support model for designing microservice environment on Kubernetes.

- Prepare cost and effort estimation for any infrastructure/microservice provisioning or enhancement.

- Valuable knowledge in the requirements of the project team so as to work with the vendors on provisioning.

- Good knowledge of the project specific application installations such as Azure Kubernetes Service, ArgoCD, JDK, Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Dynatrace, etc.

- Prepare runbooks and review with application teams and all stake holders before each release.

- Create the runbooks with all the steps needed for the particular release.





- Track on all the JIRAs and stories for that release.

- Ensure that all the DevOps related configs are prepared for releasing.

- Conduct review meetings with all the stakeholders till the runbook is finalized.

- Branch cutting and locking during the different phases of sprint cycle.

- Execution of the runbook as part of Sprint Release process using the DevOps tools.

- Prepare and present all DevOps specific changes for change approval process and follow organization guidelines for proper roll out.

- Plan and prepare the changes with proper justifications for the senior management approval.

- Present the changes and justifications in CAB meeting and answer the queries of various related teams present.

- Once approved, implement the changes following the timelines and processes.

- In case of issues faced during implementation, need to provide the details of failure and solution for implementing the change.

- Support and troubleshoot any Kubernetes cluster, Microservices, and CICD platform related issues in production and other instances.

- Good knowledge in architecture to identify the area of issue.

- Resolving cross-team issues and strategic issues with stakeholders.

- Perform analysis of Kubernetes production issues and provide Tier 3 support to troubleshoot.

- Understanding of the external third party integrations including Akamai, Azure, Apigee, Kafka, MySQL, Redis, Palo Alto Firewall, etc., and work with production support team and vendors on identifying and fixing the issues.

- Continuous monitoring of the Microservices even after an incident to ensure the complete recovery.

- Support QA and Development teams for deploying the applications and ensure applications are functioning correctly in their environments.

- Automate the build and deployment processes so as to provide QA team and Dev teams with button clicks for these activities.

- Add, remove, or modify the existing CI/CD jobs to satisfy the requests from QA/Dev teams.

- Provide solutions to the build/deployment issues faced by QA/Dev teams.

- Manage all lower environment clusters and CICD systems.





- Support QA team to data refresh the lower environments with latest production data for the next sprint cycle.

- Support the Platform team/vendors with application restarts for patching and maintenance activities.

- Continuous research and improve the build and deployment process using latest frameworks, methodologies, solutions available in market.

- Prepare cost and effort estimation for any new enhancement by following different FinOps principles.

- POC with the latest frameworks/solutions to automate the existing process, e.g., Helm charts are introduced for better packaging, versioning, and managing of Kubernetes manifests for different microservices.

- Research and POC on latest tools and strategies for microservices like AIOps, MLOps, FinOps, etc.

- Performance analysis and fine tuning for all application/web server instances of the applications deployed.

- Support the performance testing of production site and being adept at queries, reporting, and presenting findings.

- Work with the performance team in analysing DevOps related tunings needed in the microservice APIs and implementing them from POC to production as needed.

- Implementations of various performance testing tools/methodologies for microservices.

- Monitor and timely close all work requests raised through JIRA/Service-Now to the satisfaction of the requester.

- This includes requests from other teams regarding access to the tools that DevOps hold Admin access.

- All requests from QA team and Dev teams including the stories needed for release come in JIRA and is worked on in the mentioned sprint.

- In case of clarifications, work with the respective teams and finalize the story/request.

- People management, interaction with offshore team.

- Responsible for the commerce agile squad and drive the team.

- Provide updates to the management on a regular basis on the tasks.

- Planning and executing communication plans to stakeholders.

- Coordinating the DevOps projects and their interdependencies.

- Daily team management throughout the project life cycle.

- Knowledge transfer to the team members.

- New technologies and implementations need to be passed on to other team mates.

- Cross skilling among the team with various latest technologies.

- Grooming of the new members to the team.

- Writing of wiki pages, blogs, and PowerPoint presentations for better understanding of new technologies/tools.
