About the Role

We are building a Kubernetes-native CI/CD platform for Strider, our enterprise storage product. You will design, build, and operate a multi-stage Tekton pipeline system that takes code changes from pull request to production — covering lint, unit, component, integration, smoke, system, soak, and performance testing stages. This is greenfield infrastructure work with real production impact.

What You'll Work On

- Design and maintain Tekton Pipelines, Tasks, Triggers, and EventListeners running on an RKE2 Kubernetes cluster
- Build and evolve a curated OCI builder image supporting rootless Podman-in-Podman for container builds within Tekton pods
- Manage GitHub webhook integration with Tekton EventListeners for automated PR validation and post-merge build pipelines
- Extend CI infrastructure to cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS) as on-premises capacity constrains scale
- Maintain RBAC, ServiceAccounts, Secrets, and platform resources for the pipeline cluster
- Integrate security scanning (Aikido), test reporting (PDash), and artifact management (Artifactory) into the pipeline
- Contribute to SLSA-compliant build provenance and image signing for production promotions




- Operate an on-call rotation covering the CI cluster, EventListener health, and pipeline SLA adherence

Required Skills
- Kubernetes — hands-on cluster operations (RKE2 or similar), kubectl, RBAC, workloads, PVCs, namespaces, debugging pods and events
- Tekton — Pipeline, Task, PipelineRun, TaskRun, Triggers, EventListener; tkn CLI; Tekton Dashboard
- Container tooling — OCI image build, Podman, rootless container configuration, overlay storage drivers
- Shell scripting — Bash/zsh, Make-based build systems
- Git & GitHub — webhook integration, GitHub status checks, branch protection rules

Nice to Have
- Experience with RKE2 or Rancher Kubernetes distributions
- Familiarity with Helm for deploying applications onto ephemeral clusters
- Exposure to Kind for local/ephemeral Kubernetes cluster provisioning

Must Have

- Strong python automation skills
- Strong linux and networking basics
- Knowledge and experience working in kubernetes and docker containers
- Knowledge of Jenkins, Build and Release Pipeline management

Positive to have

- Knowledge of other DevOps automation tools such as Jenkins
- Docker / Kubernetes / Linux Certifications
- Qualification: B.E/B.Tech – IT/CS/EEE/ECE/Mech/MCA/MCS.BCS/BCA/ME/MTech-CS/IT
