What You Can Expect

Executes design and development of sterilization cases and trays to support the different product engines within Zimmer Biomet. Including project management of all projects (start to finish) to help release sterilization cases and trays for commercial use. Project work requires compliance to corporate and site level procedures such as SOP’s, ZWIs, and international standards. Position interfaces extensively with Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Strategic Sourcing, outside vendors, and developing surgeons.

Work Location: Bangalore

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days in Office)

How You'll Create Impact

Job Duties

- Designs, tests, and implements instrument tray, case and container systems for all company product lines.




- Creates and issues required product drawings and related etching identification.
- Helps oversee cross functional activities involved within the design and development of cases and trays.
- Manages all post-market product maintenance activities.

Areas of Competence

- Solid engineering analysis and problem-solving to support case and tray development tasks.
- Competent in drafting design documentation and supporting compliant release of case and tray changes.
- Ability to participate in design verification, root-cause investigations, and product maintenance activities.
- Familiarity with supplier changes, process improvements, and documentation updates for case and tray systems.
- Effective communication with cross-functional partners.
- Ability to organize documentation and support standardization of development practices.

Your Background

Qualifications

Minimum

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant degree and 4 years of relevant Engineering experience
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Preferred

- B.S. degree from an ABET accredited school (or global equivalent) in one of the following engineering disciplines: mechanical, bio-medical, industrial engineering. Experience in design and graphics software, including Unigraphics is highly preferred.
- Medical device, particularly Orthopedic industry, experience.
