About the Role:

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide reliable IT support to employees and ensure the smooth functioning of desktops, laptops, printers, desk phones, EPABX systems, peripherals, operating systems, and other IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, a problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with users and internal IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, desk phones, EPABX systems, and other IT peripherals.
- Provide L1/L2 technical support for hardware, software, operating system, application, and connectivity-related issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS), and macOS environments.
- Perform operating system installation, imaging, configuration, upgrades, and patch management.
- Support endpoint management and device configuration using relevant endpoint management tools.
- Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Provide support for remote access, VPN, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
- Manage user accounts, system access, and basic IT onboarding/offboarding activities.
- Provision and configure IT devices for new employees and ensure timely collection/decommissioning of devices during employee exits.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, including hardware allocation, movement, warranty, repair, and lifecycle records.
- Coordinate with hardware/software vendors and service providers for repairs, replacements, and technical issues.
- Work closely with Network, Information Security, Helpdesk, and other IT teams to resolve escalated incidents.




- Ensure endpoint devices comply with organizational security requirements, including antivirus, encryption, patching, and other security controls.
- Create and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge-base documentation.
- Maintain proper records of incidents, service requests, resolutions, and recurring issues.
- Provide timely support to users while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Identify recurring technical problems and recommend preventive measures.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11.
- Working knowledge of Linux – Ubuntu/CentOS.
- Basic familiarity with macOS.
- Hands-on experience with desktop/laptop hardware and peripherals.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
- Experience with OS imaging and deployment tools.
- Understanding of patch management and endpoint management.
- Experience with remote support/remote desktop tools.
- Basic understanding of endpoint security, antivirus, and device encryption.
- Knowledge of printers, scanners, desk phones, EPABX, and other office IT equipment.
- Good troubleshooting and incident-resolution skills.

Educational Qualification:

- B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
- OR
- BCA / MCA
- OR
- Diploma in Hardware & Networking or an equivalent qualification.
