Job Purpose

To lead the overall Design function for the Technology organization and establish a unified design vision across MOFSL’s digital ecosystem. The role will drive user-centric design across customer-facing products, internal technology platforms, applications, and digital journeys, while ensuring consistency, scalability, and ease of use. The incumbent will partner closely with Technology, Product, Business, and senior leadership to translate business and customer needs into impactful digital experiences. The role will also build design capabilities, establish design standards and governance, strengthen design systems, and foster a culture of innovation, customer-centricity, and design excellence across the organization.

Key Deliverables

1. 1. Design Strategy & Vision

- Define and drive the overall design strategy for Technology.

- Establish design principles aligned with business, technology, and customer objectives.

- Create a consistent design vision across digital products, platforms, and applications.

1. 2. Experience & Product Design

- Lead end-to-end UX/UI and experience design across customer and internal technology platforms.

- Simplify complex financial and technology journeys through intuitive, user-centric experiences.

- Drive user research, journey mapping, prototyping, usability testing, and continuous experience improvement.

1. 3. Design Systems & Governance

- Build and institutionalize scalable Design Systems, standards, and guidelines.

- Establish design governance and quality standards across technology initiatives.

- Ensure consistency, accessibility, usability, and design excellence across platforms.

1. 4. Design Team & Capability Building

- Build, lead,



and mentor a high-performing design organization.

- Define team structure, capabilities, objectives, and performance standards.

- Develop design talent and embed a strong culture of collaboration, innovation, and ownership.

1. 5. Strategic Partnership & Innovation

- Partner with CTO, Product, Business, and Technology leaders on product and technology strategy.

- Balance customer needs, business objectives, technology feasibility, and regulatory requirements.

- Drive adoption of emerging technologies, including AI, to improve design processes and digital experiences.

Role Requirements

1. 1. Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, UX, HCI, Product Design, or a related discipline.

1. 2. Experience:
2. 12+ years of experience in UX/UI, Product Design, Digital Experience, or related fields.

3. Proven experience leading design teams and design functions in technology/product-led organizations.

4. Experience in Financial Services, FinTech, Banking, Broking, or Wealth Management preferred.

5. 3. Domain Knowledge:

- Strong expertise in UX, Product Design, Design Thinking, User Research, Interaction Design, and Design Systems.

- Strong understanding of digital products, technology platforms, customer journeys, and Agile product development.

- Ability to translate business and customer requirements into scalable design solutions.

1. 4. IT Skills:

- Proficiency in Figma, FigJam, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent design tools.

- Solid understanding of Design Systems, digital platforms, responsive design, and prototyping.

- Exposure to analytics, experimentation, AI-enabled design tools, and emerging digital technologies.
