Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Manager role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

The Design

Manager will oversee the planning, development, and review of engineering and architectural designs for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, regulations, and client requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with internal engineering teams, external consultants, and project managers to integrate design inputs, resolve technical issues, and manage design changes. The role involves supervising the preparation of drawings, models, and specifications, conducting design reviews, and ensuring that designs are optimized for constructability, cost-effectiveness, and safety.

The Design

Manager will also support project scheduling, participate in stakeholder meetings, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong background in civil, structural, or related engineering disciplines, with the ability to lead and review complex designs.




- Proficiency in design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM software) and familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing design teams, coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders, and overseeing design deliverables for infrastructure or construction projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present technical concepts clearly and collaborate across functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture; a master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in large infrastructure or engineering projects within urban environments, preferably in or around the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

Qualifications & Experience:

 Educational Qualification:

M. Tech in Transportation Engineering / Highway Engineering / Structural Engineering.

 Experience: 10–15 years in the design of roads, highways, and Elevated Corridors or coastal infrastructure.

 Strong command of design codes (IRC, MoRTH, AASHTO).

 Hands-on experience with relevant design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Road, etc.).

 Excellent coordination, leadership, and communication skills.

 Prior experience in coastal/urban road projects will be an added advantage.

Preferred Background

 Experience in EPC/HAM infrastructure projects.

 Ability to work under tight deadlines and dynamic project conditions.

 Proven record in delivering complex road infrastructure projects in urban environments.
