Job Summary

3DWorks Design Solutions is looking for an experienced SolidWorks Design Engineer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in Machine Design, Mechanical Design, or Industrial Product Design.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD, mechanical design principles, machine components, assemblies, sheet metal, manufacturing drawings, and design-for-manufacturing practices.

The candidate will be responsible for developing 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and engineering designs based on customer requirements and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Create detailed 3D mechanical models and assemblies using SOLIDWORKS.
- Develop machine designs, mechanisms, industrial products, and mechanical equipment.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, sections, and BOMs.
- Design and modify Sheet Metal, Weldments, Structural Members, and Machined Components.
- Perform assembly modelling and ensure proper fit, clearance, and interference-free design.
- Select and apply appropriate standard mechanical components such as bearings, fasteners, shafts, motors, gearboxes, etc.
- Understand manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, welding, laser cutting, bending, and assembly.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Review existing designs and make improvements for cost, manufacturability,



performance, and reliability.
- Convert customer concepts, sketches, samples, or specifications into detailed SOLIDWORKS designs.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and revision-controlled drawings.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, production, and other engineering teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into engineering designs.
- Ensure designs comply with project requirements, manufacturing capabilities, and company standards.

Required Skills
- 3–4 years of professional experience in Mechanical / Machine Design or Industrial Product Design.
- Strong hands-on experience with SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD.
- Good understanding of Mechanical Design and Engineering Drawing standards.
- Experience in creating complex parts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
- Good knowledge of Sheet Metal and Weldments.
- Understanding of tolerances, fits, GD&T;, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to understand engineering concepts and convert ideas into practical designs.
- Good problem-solving and design optimization skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a design team.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
