Role Description The Deputy Manager Purchase will oversee end-to-end procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services for the Hosur manufacturing operations. This full-time, on-site role involves identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, and managing purchase orders in alignment with company policies and budgets.

The role includes monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with production, maintenance, and quality teams, and resolving supply issues to avoid disruptions.

The Deputy Manager

Purchase will maintain vendor relationships, track market trends,



and support continuous improvement in procurement processes and compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The position is based at CUMI’s facility in Hosur and requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

- Robust skills in procurement, vendor management, and negotiation, with experience in industrial or manufacturing supply chains.
- Ability to manage purchase planning, inventory control, and cost optimization while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
- Proficiency in using ERP or purchase management systems, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools for tracking and reporting.
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract management, and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills for working with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities in time-sensitive procurement scenarios.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification in supply chain or materials management is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a similar role within heavy industry, automotive, ceramics, abrasives, or related manufacturing environments is preferred.
