We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager – Purchase with strong knowledge of Rubber Compounding / Rubber Mixing Plant operations. Candidates with experience in rubber mixing units or organizations such as MRF, JK Tyre, Fenner, or similar companies will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage overall purchase and procurement activities for the plant.
- Procure raw materials, consumables, engineering items, maintenance spares, and other plant requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, develop, and manage suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparisons, negotiate prices, and finalize commercial terms.
- Issue Purchase Orders and monitor material delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely availability of materials according to Production and Maintenance requirements.
- Develop alternate sources and support cost-reduction initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery, and commercial terms.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Stores, Quality, Finance, and Management.
- Resolve vendor-related issues, material shortages, delays,



and quality concerns.
- Monitor market prices and identify opportunities for better sourcing.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor documentation, and procurement reports.
- Monitor inventory requirements and ensure optimum stock levels.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approval procedures.
- Lead and guide the purchase team for efficient procurement operations.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Rubber Mixing / Rubber Compounding plant requirements.
- Excellent vendor development and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of purchase planning and procurement processes.
- Good knowledge of engineering and maintenance-related purchases.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Ability to manage vendors and lead a purchase team.
