Key Responsibilities

- Lead enterprise DB2 LUW administration, architecture, upgrades, migrations, and modernization programs.

- Design and implement highly available DB2 environments using HADR, replication, failover, and disaster recovery solutions.

- Lead DB2 migrations to AWS, including on-premises/EC2 to Amazon RDS for Db2.

- Work with AWS services such as RDS for Db2, EC2, S3, and AWS DMS.

- Develop cloud migration strategies, HA/DR architectures, security frameworks, and operational standards.

- Perform advanced DB2 performance tuning, workload optimization, indexing, capacity planning, and storage optimization.

- Support production DB2 environments, including critical incident resolution, RCA, and performance troubleshooting.

- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud, architecture, and business teams.

- Lead and mentor DB2 technical teams across global consulting engagements.

- Establish DB2 administration, cloud adoption, governance, and operational best practices.

- Develop automation using Shell,



SQL, Python, Ansible, and Terraform/IaC.

Required Skills

- 8 - 15 years of experience in enterprise database technologies.

- Strong hands-on experience with IBM DB2 LUW.

- Proven experience in DB2 installation, configuration, administration, upgrades, migration, and performance tuning.

- Strong experience with DB2 HADR, HA/DR, failover, and disaster recovery.

- Experience leading DB2 migration and modernization initiatives.

- Strong AWS/cloud database experience.

- Experience with Amazon RDS for Db2 is highly preferred.

- Experience with AWS DMS, S3, EC2, networking, security, and connectivity is an advantage.

- Experience with Shell scripting, SQL, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.

- Robust architecture, consulting, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.

- Experience mentoring teams and working with global customers.
