Role Description The Database Specialist will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing the company’s databases to ensure reliability, performance, and security. Day-to-day tasks include administering database systems, designing and implementing data models, performing backups and recovery, and troubleshooting database-related issues. The role also involves collaborating with product and engineering teams to support application development, refine database architecture, and improve data workflows.

This is a full-time,



on-site position based in Tiruvallur, where the Database Specialist will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain data integrity and support business growth.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Database Administration and Databases to manage, secure, and optimize database environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in Database Design and Data Modeling to architect efficient and scalable data structures.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to diagnose issues, interpret data, and support data-driven decisions.
- Experience with SQL and at least one major RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle) is preferred.
- Knowledge of database performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization is beneficial.
- Familiarity with backup, recovery, high availability, and security best practices for databases is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams, document technical processes, and work effectively in an in office environment.
