Project Engineer Job Title: IT Data Center Facility Operations Organization Name: NEC Corporation of India Ltd.

Reporting Relationship: Manager Requirements: Responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and management of critical electrical and facility infrastructure within the data center. The role will ensure high availability, reliability, safety, and zero-impact operation of critical systems. Manage datacenter critical infrastructure, including UPS, batteries, DG/Gensets, HT/LT panels, PAC, fire safety and PDU systems.

Key Responsibilities: Operate, monitor, and maintain UPS systems, batteries, DG/Gensets and critical electrical distribution systems. Monitor PAC/CRAC/HVAC systems to maintain required data center temperature and humidity levels. Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for preventive maintenance, breakdowns, and system optimization Monitor and maintain WLD (Water Leak Detection) systems Ensure proper operation and maintenance of fire alarm, fire suppression, and fire-fighting systems.

Manage and supervise technicians, OEMs, contractors, and service vendors Ensure 24x7 high availability and reliability of critical infrastructure.

Qualifications &

Skills: Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ IT/Electronics, Engineering or related field or MCA Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively with technicians, OEMs, vendors, and internal stakeholders.



Valuable understanding of data center critical infrastructure, including UPS, batteries, DG/Gensets,HT/LT panels, PAC/AHU and PDU systems.

Specialization Description

Manage data center operations which cover managing site facilities and maintenance, security and surveillance systems, system installations and the overall customer experience. Ensure delivery of services as per client requirements and control cost and manage vendors. Monitor and maintain uptime of facilities by minimizing breakdowns and maximizing process and system efficiencies (e.g., maintenance and administration of servers/databases/applications/network/non-IT infrastructure).

Plans and administers acquisition/installation of hardware equipment, software and maintenance agreements to maximize integration, compatibility and continuing operations of systems with minimal disruption.
