About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Data Analyst / Data Engineer Intern to join our Product & Technology team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on building and maintaining robust data pipelines, developing insightful dashboards, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. As an intern, you will be involved in managing data flow across multiple systems, optimizing data extraction and transformation workflows, and contributing to the development of internal tools and dashboards using Frappe Framework / ERPNext.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone passionate about data engineering, analytics, and automation, with a keen interest in understanding how data underpins operational products and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in computer science and data fundamentals, with hands-on experience in SQL, Python, and data management tools. A good understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and ETL/ELT pipelines is essential. Familiarity with APIs, JSON, and data validation techniques will be advantageous.





Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Prior exposure to Frappe Framework / ERPNext, AWS databases, or dashboard development will be considered a plus. Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, along with basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, will further enhance your suitability for this role.

Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst / Data Engineer Intern at DeHaat, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing and optimizing data pipelines across diverse sources such as AWS RDS, Amazon Redshift, application databases, APIs, and internal systems like Google Sheets.
- Writing and fine-tuning SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Developing Python scripts to automate ETL/ELT workflows, perform data validation, and ensure data quality across systems.
- Monitoring scheduled data workflows and troubleshooting pipeline failures, missing records, duplicates, or schema issues.
- Creating and maintaining documentation related to data sources, schemas, transformations, and dependencies to facilitate transparency and reproducibility.
- Building and maintaining operational dashboards, reports, and internal tools using Frappe Framework / ERPNext, translating business needs into meaningful visualizations and datasets.
- Integrating Frappe applications with databases, APIs, and data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow and real-time insights.




- Debugging data discrepancies, improving dashboard performance, and enhancing usability for various teams.
- Supporting frontend customization using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS where necessary to improve user experience.
- Utilizing tools like Postman for API testing, debugging, and ensuring secure data exchanges.
- Participating in product and data QA processes, automating workflows, and documenting procedures and technical specifications.
- Leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar platforms for coding assistance, data analysis, and workflow automation.
