The internship provides practical exposure to security concepts through authorized, supervised activities such as security assessments, log analysis, documentation, access reviews, and cybersecurity awareness projects.

Key responsibilities

- Assist with monitoring and reviewing security-related alerts and logs.
- Support authorized vulnerability assessment and security-review activities.
- Assist with identifying common security weaknesses in approved systems and applications.
- Review basic network and system configurations for security considerations.
- Work with Linux systems and security-related command-line tools.
- Assist with documenting security findings and recommended remediation steps.
- Support access-control and account-review activities.
- Help maintain cybersecurity checklists, trackers, and documentation.
- Assist with security awareness and best-practice documentation.
- Research common cybersecurity threats and defensive controls.
- Support incident documentation and escalation under supervision.
- Follow organizational security policies and authorized testing procedures.
