Qualifications

- Recognized nursing qualification (GNM or B.Sc Nursing) with valid KNMC registration.
- Experience in operation theatre nursing, preferably in CVTS or cardiac OT, in a tertiary care or super specialty hospital.
- Strong clinical skills in perioperative care, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing management for cardio-vascular and thoracic procedures.
- Knowledge of OT protocols, sterile techniques, infection prevention and control, and safe handling of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, with explicit communication, accurate documentation, and sound clinical judgment under pressure.
- Familiarity with hospital information systems, basic computer skills, and adherence to quality, safety, and accreditation standards (e.g., NABH).
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Experience in a large, accredited hospital and specialization or certification in OT nursing or cardiac nursing is an added advantage.
