Indian Ideal Academy, Patiala is looking for a confident, enthusiastic and student-focused Counsellor to join our team.

The candidate will be responsible for counselling students and parents, understanding their educational requirements, explaining suitable courses/programs, handling enquiries and follow-ups, and supporting the admission process from enquiry to enrollment.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, strong convincing ability and a genuine interest in helping students make the right academic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents regarding available courses, programs and academic opportunities.
- Understand students' educational background, interests, goals and requirements.
- Provide accurate information about courses, eligibility, fees, schedules and admission procedures.
- Handle enquiries received through phone calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins, social media and online leads.
- Conduct one-to-one counselling sessions with students and parents.
- Follow up regularly with prospective students and convert enquiries into admissions.
- Maintain proper records of student enquiries, follow-ups and admissions.
- Build positive relationships with students and parents.
- Coordinate with the academic and admission teams to ensure a smooth enrollment process.
- Achieve monthly admission and counselling targets.
- Participate in seminars, student engagement activities, counselling sessions and promotional activities.
- Keep updated with the academy's courses, programs and admission policies.
- Handle student queries professionally and resolve basic concerns promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and parent information.

Education & Experience Education: Graduate preferred.

Experience: 1–3 years of experience in education counselling, admission counselling, sales, telecalling, customer relationship management or a similar role preferred.

Freshers: Candidates with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in counselling may also apply.
