Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and experienced Marathi Content Writer with 2-5 years of experience in a News Channel, Print Media, Digital Media, PR Agency, or related media organization.

The ideal candidate should have excellent command of the Marathi language, strong creative-writing skills, a good understanding of news and current affairs, and the ability to create engaging, accurate, and audience-focused content across digital and traditional platforms.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Write, edit, and proofread high-quality content in Marathi for digital and media platforms.
- Create news stories, articles, features, captions, social media posts, video scripts, headlines, and promotional content.
- Develop creative and engaging content based on current affairs, trending topics, events, and assigned subjects.
- Research topics from reliable sources and convert information into clear, engaging Marathi content.
- Write compelling headlines, introductions, descriptions, and social media copy.
- Develop scripts and content for news videos, reels, short-form videos, interviews, and digital packages.
- Adapt content according to different platforms such as websites, social media, YouTube, WhatsApp, and other digital channels.
- Maintain accuracy, originality, grammar, spelling, and appropriate Marathi language usage.
- Translate and adapt content from English/Hindi into natural and reader-friendly Marathi whenever required.
- Coordinate with editors, designers, video editors, social media teams, and other departments.
- Follow editorial guidelines, deadlines, brand tone, and content standards.
- Identify trending topics and suggest new and creative content ideas.
- Proofread content before publishing and ensure factual and grammatical accuracy.




- Handle multiple content assignments simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

Required Skills:

- Excellent command of Marathi language Mandatory.
- Strong Marathi grammar, vocabulary, sentence construction, and proofreading skills.
- Excellent creative writing and storytelling abilities.
- Strong research and information-gathering skills.
- Good knowledge of news, current affairs, Maharashtra-related topics, politics, culture, social issues, and trending digital content.
- Ability to write engaging and audience-friendly content.
- Understanding of digital media and social media content formats.
- Ability to write under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and digital content practices will be an advantage.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in:

Journalism / Mass Communication / Bachelor of Communication / Marathi / Arts / English / or any relevant field.

Relevant professional experience and a strong writing portfolio will also be considered.
