About The Client:

An American software development company founded in 1993. It is headquartered in Redwood City, California. Its core products include enterprise cloud data management and data integration.

Essential Job Functions:

- Design and develop Power BI datasets, models, and reports with a focus on self-service reporting and an Clientive end-user experience.

- Write efficient DAX to create measures, field parameters, calculated columns, and other necessary data model changes.

- Understanding of SQL for change requests, testing, and star schema optimization.

- Translate reporting needs from business units into concrete technical requirements for semantic data modeling and data platform teams.

- Understand semantic modeling, specifically star schema, dimension tables, relationships, and fact table granularity.

- Architect solutions and collaborate closely with the development team to ensure smooth processes.

- Standardize design practices across enterprise models.

Qualifications:

Knowledge & Skills

- Experience with advanced Power BI functionality, including DAX, Row Level Security, Power Query, Performance Optimization, Composite Models, and Storage Modes.

- Proficient in Power BI deployment pipelines and report auto-binding over different workspaces.

- In-depth knowledge of Power BI Apps and audiences.

- Understanding of dimensional modeling principles (Star Schema).

- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and its applications and use cases.

- Hands-on SQL knowledge for view development and design implementations.

- Experience with JIRA project management software and agile methodologies.

Education/Experience

- BA/BS or equivalent educational background is preferred.





- Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including 4+ years BI development experience in an enterprise environment.

- Minimum 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Power BI (Pro/Premium capacity)
