Role Overview: We are seeking a self-driven Skill Development Consultant to anchor our presence in Gujarat from Gandhinagar. This is an independent, ownership-heavy role: you will build and manage relationships with state government departments and missions, position our NSQF- aligned and credit-linked programmes with schools, colleges and universities, and convert those relationships into signed partnerships and funded programmes.

- Track state and central scheme announcements, tenders, EOIs and RFPs; flag opportunities early and drive internal go/no-go decisions.
- Represent the organisation in departmental meetings, review committees, empanelment processes and government-convened workshops.
- Map proposed courses to NSQF levels and the relevant National Occupational Standards (NOS) and Qualification Packs (QPs).
- Structure programmes for academic credit alignment under NCrF, ensuring credit definitions, learning hours and assessment design stand up to institutional and regulatory scrutiny.
- Interpret NCVET, UGC, AICTE and NEP 2020 guidance for institutional partners and translate it into practical implementation plans.
- Draft high-quality proposals, concept notes, MoUs and commercial offers for the introduction of new skill courses in schools, colleges and universities.
- Prepare tender and bid documentation for government skilling projects, including technical write-ups, compliance annexures and past-performance narratives.
- Own the pipeline end to end: prospecting, first meeting, proposal, negotiation, closure, and handover to delivery.
- Promote courses and partnership models independently, without day-to-day supervision, and be accountable for conversion targets.
- Maintain an accurate CRM/tracker of institutions, officials, opportunities and stage-wise status; report progress fortnightly.
- Liaise with training partners, assessment agencies and awarding bodies as required.
- Contribute to compliance documentation, MIS reporting and audit readiness for government funded projects.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Graduate in any discipline; a postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSW, M.A. Education, or equivalent) is preferred.
- 58 years in the skill development, vocational education or workforce development sector, with demonstrable ownership of government or institutional relationships.
- Domain knowledge (non-negotiable):
- NSQF structure, level descriptors and application
- National Occupational Standards (NoS), Qualification Packs and QP/NOS codes
o Academic credit alignment NCrF, credit calculation, ABC, credit transfer into school and higher education
- Working familiarity with NCVET, sector skill councils, and the central/state scheme landscape (PMKVY, Samagra Shiksha vocational education, NAPS/NATS, state skill missions)
- Fluency in Hindi and English. Any 3rd language will be helpful.
- Willing to travel across states.
