Job Title: Hospital Hardware & Software Support Executive

Job Summary The Hospital Hardware & Software Support Executive will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the hospital's computer hardware, software, network systems, printers, biometric attendance systems, and other IT-related equipment. The position will ensure smooth and uninterrupted IT operations across all hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities1. Hardware Support

- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers and laptops.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware problems involving CPU, RAM, hard disk/SSD, monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.
- Maintain and troubleshoot printers, scanners, barcode printers, UPS and other IT peripherals.
- Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repair and replacement when required.
- Maintain records of hospital IT assets and equipment.

1. Software Support

- Install and configure Windows and required software applications.
- Troubleshoot hospital software/application-related issues.
- Provide technical support for Hospital Management System (HMS/HIS) and other hospital applications.
- Support attendance/biometric software and resolve attendance-related technical issues.
- Install software updates, security patches and required drivers.
- Assist staff with software-related problems.

1. Network & Internet Support

- Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi and internet connectivity issues.
- Check network connections, switches, routers and related equipment.
- Coordinate with the Internet Service Provider for connectivity issues.
- Ensure proper connectivity between departments and systems.

1. Hospital IT Support

- Provide immediate technical support to Reception, Billing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Nursing, HR, Accounts, Stores and other departments.
- Support computers and systems used for patient registration, billing,



reports and administrative activities.
- Assist staff in resolving login, printing, scanning and system-access issues.
- Ensure minimum downtime of critical hospital IT systems.

1. Data & Security

- Assist in regular data backup procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of hospital and patient-related information.
- Ensure antivirus and basic system security measures are maintained.
- Follow hospital policies regarding data protection and access control.

1. Maintenance & Documentation

- Maintain IT equipment inventory and asset records.
- Maintain records of complaints, repairs and service activities.
- Monitor warranty and AMC details of IT equipment.
- Prepare periodic IT maintenance and issue reports.
- Maintain proper documentation of software, hardware and network-related activities.

Required Qualification
- Diploma / B.Sc. / BCA / B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science / IT or equivalent qualification.
- Additional hardware and networking certification will be an advantage.

Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in hardware, software and network support.
- Hospital/healthcare IT experience will be preferred.

Required Skills
- Valuable knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Knowledge of printers, scanners and biometric systems.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to provide timely support during urgent hospital requirements.

- Timely resolution of IT complaints.
- Minimum downtime of hospital systems.
- Proper maintenance of IT hardware and software.
- Timely preventive maintenance and backups.
- Accurate IT asset and service records.
- User satisfaction with IT support.

Note: The employee may be required to provide technical support during emergencies or critical system failures, as per hospital requirements. Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
