- System Monitoring: Watching system consoles for error messages, tracking performance metrics, and managing automated workflows or nightly updates.
- Data & Backup Management: Executing scheduled batch processing jobs and coordinating data backups to prevent information loss.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying system malfunctions, resolving hardware/software conflicts, and escalating severe errors to network administrators or senior developers.
- Hardware Maintenance: Setting up peripheral hardware components (like printers and storage units), loading media, and conducting preventative maintenance.
- User Support: Answering phone calls or digital tickets to assist internal employees or external clients with technical difficulties.
- Logging & Documentation: Maintaining detailed incident logs of machine downtime, error resolutions, and operational shifts.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with contemporary operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix), networking protocols, and enterprise software.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical capabilities to quickly deduce why a system has stopped or failed under pressure.
- Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including overnight, weekend, or holiday shifts, as most operations require 24/7 coverage.
- Education: A diploma, certification, or bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology is preferred. (Though practical experience and technical training are heavily valued).
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
