Job Summary

We at Accolade Electronics are looking for a Component Engineer responsible for electronic component selection, part number creation, component library management, BOM validation, and lifecycle tracking. The role also involves ensuring component data accuracy and compliance with IPC, RoHS, REACH, and other applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Generate and manage new part numbers, classify components accurately, and maintain the component master data within the ERP/PLM system.

- Ensure technical datasheets, compliance certificates, and lifecycle statuses are accurately linked to internal part numbers.

- Create, verify, and maintain schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and component parameters in the OrCAD central library, ensuring compliance with IPC standards.

- Prepare, review, and validate complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy before releasing them to manufacturing or procurement.

- Monitor Product Change Notifications (PCNs), End of Life (EOL) notices, and Last Time Buy (LTB) alerts. Proactively recommend replacement parts to the design team.

- Verify and maintain documentation for environmental and regulatory compliance, including RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals.

Skills Required

- Knowledge of

Electronic Component Management and Part Number Creation





- Hands-on experience with

ERP/PLM systems and component master data management

- Proficiency in

OrCAD Central Library management

- Knowledge of creating and maintaining

Schematic Symbols and PCB Footprints

- Understanding of

IPC standards and PCB component library guidelines

- Experience in

BOM creation, validation, and management

- Knowledge of

PCN, EOL, and LTB management and component lifecycle tracking

- Ability to identify and recommend alternate/replacement components

- Good understanding of

RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals compliance

- Ability to interpret technical datasheets and component specifications

- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

- Valuable coordination skills with

Design, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality teams

- Proficiency in

MS Excel for component and BOM data management

- Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills

Qualification

- BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, E&TC;, or a related field

Experience

- 0–2 years of experience in Component Engineering, Electronics, BOM Management, or a related field.
