Role Description Required to be living in Mumbai, the Company Secretary is a full-time remote role (Based in Mumbai) responsible for supporting governance, compliance, and organizational alignment at Adaptiveness Institute. This role oversees statutory and regulatory filings, maintains corporate records, and coordinates board and committee meetings, including preparing agendas, minutes, resolutions, and action logs.
The Company
Secretary serves as a key liaison between executive leadership, stakeholders, and advisors, ensuring explicit communication and adherence to governance frameworks. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing governance documents, monitoring compliance requirements across jurisdictions,
and supporting risk management and policy implementation. The role also contributes to process improvement, documentation standards, and best practices that enhance transparency, decision-making, and long-term organizational resilience.
Qualifications
- Strong corporate governance and compliance skills, including experience with board processes, statutory filings, and maintaining accurate corporate records.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear minutes, resolutions, policies, and stakeholder correspondence.
- Organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and coordinate complex meeting schedules.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills for reviewing legal and regulatory documents, identifying risks, and ensuring accuracy in documentation.
- Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., document management systems, video conferencing platforms, and shared workspaces) in a remote setting.
- Experience working with executive leadership teams or boards, demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, business, governance, or a related field; professional certification as a Company Secretary or in corporate governance is an advantage.
- Familiarity with international or cross-border organizational structures and regulatory environments is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, adapt to continuous change, and contribute to a culture of transparency and accountability.
