JD- COBOL Developer (Immediate Joiners)

Locations - Pune/ Bangalore

- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or current products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
- Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
- Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
- Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
- Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
- Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.

What you will be doing:

- We are looking for an experienced in HP Tandem COBOL Developer, SQL Mandatory
- Knowledge of HP Tandem utilities, FUP, TACL, Pathway, Batchcom will be additional advantage.
- The successful candidate will work on Enhancement and Support projects for the Product.
- Support solutions and ensure the quality and utilization of products satisfy client needs.




- Recreate, document client issues, and troubleshoot problems to support product quality.

What you will need:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Competencies

- Experience – 5+ years.
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion.
- Attention to detail – track record of authoring high-quality documentation.
- Organized approach – manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.
- Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team.
