Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer Cum Operator with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in CNC programming, machine setting, and operation. The candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to manufacture precision components as per engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards, and production targets.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of G-code/M-code, CNC machine operations, tooling, offsets, machining parameters, and precision measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop,modify, and edit CNC programs as per component drawings and production requirements.
- Set up and operate CNC machines such as CNC Turning, VMC, HMC or similar machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
- Perform machine setting, tool setting, work offset and tool offset adjustments.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
- Write, edit, and troubleshoot G-code and M-code programs.
- Conduct trial runs and first-piece inspection before starting batch production.
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary corrections for dimensional accuracy.
- Inspect finished components using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Identify and troubleshoot basic programming, tooling, machine, and machining-related issues.
- Optimize machining parameters to improve cycle time, tool life, productivity, and component quality.
- Maintain CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling records,



and production documentation.
- Ensure minimum rejection, rework, material wastage, and machine downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures, 5S practices, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve machining issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic housekeeping of the machine and work area.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in CNC Programming, Setting & Operating.
- Positive knowledge of G-code and M-code programming.
- Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi / Haas will be an advantage.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool selection, fixtures, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
- Good knowledge of CNC machine setting and offset correction.
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T; is preferred.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Quality-conscious and production-oriented approach.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Tool & Die / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Candidates with relevant hands-on CNC experience will be preferred.

Experience

- 3–4 years of relevant experience in CNC programming, setting, and machine operation.
- Experience in a manufacturing / precision engineering / machining environment is preferred.

Salary 4–5LPAdepending on experience, technical skills, and interview performance.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates who can independently handle CNC programming, machine setting, operation, tool/offset correction, drawing interpretation, and first-piece inspection will be preferred.
