This is a engineering and cloud automation role, focused on Azure-native, event-driven orchestration. It is not a traditional application or UI development position. Please use the MUSTHAVE skills closely while shortlisting to ensure we get the right profiles.
We are looking for a Cloud Developer with strong C#/.NET expertise to design, enhance, and support a .NET-based orchestration framework powering Azure Update Manager (AUM). The platform enables large-scale, automated, and compliant patching across hybrid enterprise environments using event-driven Azure services.
MUSTHAVE SKILLS
Candidates must meet all of the below criteria. Profiles missing these should not be shortlisted:
- Solid hands-on experience in C# and .NET Core (enterprise-grade development)
- Azure Functions – mandatory production experience (event-driven or scheduled)
- Experience with Azure Service Bus (Queues / Topics)
- Understanding of event-driven orchestration workflows
- Hands-on experience integrating REST APIs (ServiceNow and/or Azure APIs)
- Working knowledge of Azure Resource Graph or similar inventory/scoping mechanisms
- Exposure to cloud automation / orchestration (patching, scheduling, platform automation)
- Experience supporting, troubleshooting production systems
- Comfortable working in enterprise environments with security and compliance controls
Preferred Skills (Positive to Have)
- Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline experience
- Exposure to enterprise patching or OS lifecycle management
- Understanding of multi-timezone maintenance windows
- Experience aligning automation with cybersecurity standards
- Microsoft Certifications: Azure Developer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
NOTE: Profiles to Avoid Please do not shortlist candidates with the following backgrounds:
- UI- or web-only .NET developers (ASP.NET MVC, Razor, frontend-heavy)
- Desktop or legacy application developers without Azure platform exposure
- Candidates without real hands-on Azure expertise and Azure Functions experience
- Support-only profiles with no development depth
