Responsibilities

- Lead large-scale Oracle & MS SQL Server to PostgreSQL migrations, including cloud modernisation on AWS, Azure, or GCP, by defining optimal strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor).

- Design secure, scalable database architectures ensuring high performance, data integrity, and minimal downtime during migrations.

- Perform query optimisation, convert PL/SQL/T-SQL to PL/pgSQL, and implement performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage HA/DR and backup strategies, and leverage migration tools (AWS DMS, Ora2Pg, Azure DMS) while mentoring teams and enforcing best practices.
