We are looking for a Cloud Architect Presales who can work closely with the Sales and Delivery teams to understand customer business problems and translate them into scalable, secure and commercially viable cloud solutions.

The role will be responsible for taking ownership of the technical solutioning for RFI/RFPs, including architecture, technology selection, effort estimation, BOM, implementation approach and technical proposal content.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with Sales and customers to understand business requirements, problem statements, functional and non-functional requirements.

Analyze RFI/RFP documents and convert customer requirements into solution architecture and technical response.

Develop High-Level Architecture (HLD), solution design, data flow, integration architecture and deployment architecture.

Define appropriate cloud services and technology components across AWS and Azure.

Evaluate different architectural options and recommend the optimal solution based on performance, scalability, security, availability and cost.

Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) covering cloud infrastructure, software, licenses, third-party products, edge devices and other technology components wherever applicable.

Prepare effort estimation covering architecture, development, integration, testing, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, deployment and support.

Develop resource loading and project estimation models including skill mix, person-months, onsite/offshore requirements and project duration.





Work with Delivery/Engineering teams to validate technical estimates, assumptions, dependencies and implementation feasibility.

Develop technical solution proposals, architecture diagrams, implementation methodologies and project plans for customer presentations.

Support Sales during customer presentations, technical discussions, workshops and solution negotiations.

Participate in technical discussions with customer architects, CTO/CIO organizations and procurement teams.

Identify technical risks, assumptions, exclusions and dependencies and ensure they are clearly documented in the proposal.

Define MVP/PoC approach, implementation roadmap and phased deployment strategy where required.

Prepare TCO/ROI and cloud cost estimates and support commercial teams in developing competitive proposals.

Ensure proposed solutions are aligned with security, compliance, data privacy and enterprise architecture standards.

Support transition from Presales Delivery by conducting solution walkthroughs and ensuring architectural decisions and assumptions are clearly documented.

2. Technology Stack The candidate should have strong hands-on knowledge of modern cloud-native architecture, with depth in at least one major cloud platform and working knowledge of the equivalent services on the other.

3. What You Will Bring

10–15+ years of experience in software architecture, cloud architecture, solution engineering, technical consulting or presales.

Robust experience in designing cloud-native and distributed systems on AWS and/or Azure.

Proven experience responding to RFI/RFPs and customer technical requirements.

Ability to independently convert an ambiguous customer problem statement into a solution concept, architecture, BOM and effort estimate.

Strong understanding of application architecture, data architecture, integration architecture and cloud infrastructure.

Hands-on experience with microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture and cloud-native services.

Strong understanding of cloud security, scalability, high availability, disaster recovery and performance optimization.

Experience preparing technical proposals, architecture documents, BOMs, effort estimates and implementation roadmaps.

Ability to estimate software development projects using WBS, work packages, resource loading, historical productivity and risk/contingency factors.

Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.

Ability to explain complex technology concepts in business language to CXO/business stakeholders and in technical depth to engineering teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate multiple technical options and recommend the best-fit solution.

Ability to challenge customer requirements constructively and identify assumptions, exclusions, risks and dependencies.

Strong documentation skills with experience creating architecture diagrams, solution proposals and technical presentations.
