About the Role

We are looking for a technically strong Civil Engineer with 3–5 years of practical construction experience to work directly with management as an in-house technical consultant and technical representative of the company.

The selected candidate will work closely with management on a day-to-day basis, acting as the technical right hand of management and accompanying management during important project, PMC and consultant discussions.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical guidance to management on construction-related matters.
- Review structural/architectural drawings, BOQs, BBS, specifications and revisions.
- Review tender documents, contract conditions and government/municipal specifications to understand contractual requirements and the company's rights and obligations.
- Assist management with construction planning, methodologies and technical decisions.
- Cross-check actual site execution against approved drawings, specifications and methodologies and identify discrepancies.
- Identify technical issues, risks, discrepancies and practical solutions.
- Review RCC, reinforcement, foundations, concrete, masonry, waterproofing and other civil works.
- Review material specifications, testing requirements and QA/QC documentation.
- Attend PMC, consultant, contractor and technical meetings with management and provide technical support.
- Evaluate PMC/consultant requirements against drawings, specifications, tender conditions and applicable standards.
- Review PMC/consultant instructions, observations and correspondence and advise management on appropriate technical responses.
- Review RA Bills prepared by the company before submission to PMC, ensuring all eligible executed work is captured and properly supported.
- Verify quantities against drawings, BOQ, BBS, measurements, site records and previous RA Bills.
- Identify omitted quantities, variations, extra items,



deviations, incorrect claims and potential deductions.
- Anticipate PMC queries and assist in defending legitimate quantities and claims during RA Bill audits.
- Track executed, billed and PMC-certified quantities and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Track quantities/amounts reduced, withheld or rejected by PMC and assist in recovering eligible amounts in subsequent RA Bills.
- Assist with quantity calculations, rate/technical evaluations and material planning.
- Coordinate with site and billing teams to ensure measurements and supporting documentation are completed before RA Bill submission.
- Help identify cost, quality and schedule implications of technical decisions.
- Maintain records of important technical issues, decisions, approvals and pending matters.
- Explain complex technical matters to management in simple, practical and commercially understandable language.

Candidate Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 3–5 years of relevant construction experience.
- Strong knowledge of RCC, reinforcement, drawings, BOQ, BBS, quantity estimation and construction practices.
- Understanding of RA Bills, measurements, QA/QC and material testing.
- Strong understanding of tender documents, technical specifications and contract conditions.
- Experience with PMC/consultant coordination preferred.
- Experience with government/municipal projects and tender-based construction will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be capable of independent thinking, technical decision-making and qualified handling of PMC/consultant discussions.
