Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive MongoDB Engineer to join our team and lead the end-to-end deployment, configuration, and management of MongoDB databases across both on-premise and cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of MongoDB internals, performance tuning, and high availability setups, along with hands-on experience in DevOps practices and cloud platforms, primarily AWS.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and manage MongoDB clusters in on-premise and cloud/Atlas environments.
- Implement replication, sharding, backup, and restore strategies for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and configurations.
- Automate deployment and maintenance tasks using DevOps tools (e.g., Terraform, Git).
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and scalability.
- Ensure database security, compliance, and access control across environments as per the Bank's standards.
- Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and configurations.




- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production and non-production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Proven experience with MongoDB administration and engineering.
- Strong understanding of MongoDB concepts: aggregation framework, replica sets, sharding, indexes, schema design, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Linux systems and good understanding of Linux commands.
- Experience with MongoDB Ops Manager, Atlas, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (mainly AWS).
- Proficiency in DevOps tools and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Bash, Python).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab), infrastructure as code, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
